My Story and Experiences

I grew up in a house without a garbage disposal. I guess you could call me deprived. Now that I have a Moen GXS75C Series Garbage Disposal, I revel in its ease and convenience. No longer do I need to clean off every single dish manually before washing, since any larger piece of food could clog up my oh so sensitive plumbing pipes. Nor do I have to live with an unsanitary, stinky garbage can in the kitchen insisting that I run it out to the curb daily.

There are other things I like about my garbage disposal. First, there are no inner lips that can latch on to old food, so it doesn't smell bad inside. Second, the inside strainer pops out easily for cleaning or replacing if required. Third, the chrome stopper fits well and looks and functions better than those funky black stoppers that other units have had. Fourth, I'm crazy about the rubber trap located between the disposal and the sink that keeps stray items (like dropped forks) from finding their way into places where they definitely don't fit in!

My Conclusion

Don't worry, I'm not a crazed spinster who lives alone, yet manages to generate a daily mountain of garbage. There are 5 people in our family (7 if you count the dogs) and we're all happy with the performance of our Moen GXS75C. We also share a love for the environment. Did you know that garbage disposals are eco-friendly? They do their part to reduce all that waste that is pouring into landfills. Seriously, the Moen GXS75C GX Series Garbage Disposal is highly recommended.

I am looking for a garbage disposal to attach it to a new deep new sink. The distance between the bottom of the sink and the center of the 11/2″ discharge should be 6″ maximum. The best disposer I could find is Waste King Legend Series 2600, which has the mentioned distance of 6 3/16″. I miss at least 3/16″ (it should be more, because of the needed slope.
Which other disposer brand can help me to solve the issue?
