A Bio-charge Enzyme Cartridge To Make Your Garbage Disposal Septic System Safe
InSinkErator Evolution Septic Assist uses bio-charge enzyme technology to prevent overflows from food waste. With over 300 million micro-organisms within each cartridge, as food sits in the grinding chamber waiting to be sliced to pieces, these organisms will eat away at the food waste. Not only does it make it easier for the grind power of the garbage disposal to do its magic, but it prevents food waste from building up and causing an overflow.
Using a bio-charge enzyme cartridge is safe to use and safe for your septic system. It’s completely natural and even environmentally friendly. It is safe to have around your cooking space and won’t cause any harmful bacteria to grow within your sink. Having this cartridge with your evolution septic assist garbage disposal will prevent your sink from smelling of rotten food and will protect your septic system.
How these cartridges work is as food falls into the sink and is within the garbage disposal, the organisms of the cartridge will locate that food and start eating the grease, fats, starches, and proteins. It can even break down waste such as toilet paper. The organisms use this waste as food and are always hungry! Then, the waste becomes liquified over time and transfers to the tank. Even while in the tank, the micro-organisms will continue to eat away at the food waste in the system.
This shrinks the amount of waste that is in the garbage disposal system so when you run the grinders, there will be less to shred. This makes it incredibly easy for the waste to go through your plumbing without getting stuck and clogged. That way overflows won’t be likely.
The bio-charge cartridge will last about 3-4 months before needing to be replaced. Even the replacement process is easy! All you have to do is push a button to release the old cartridge and then you can pop a new one in.
Multi-grind Technology Makes Getting Rid Of Food Waste Easy
The InSinkErator Evolution Septic Assist runs with a two-stage grinding system. Single grinding systems will chop the food waste in your garbage disposal, but not to the small size that a two-stage grinding system can. As the name implies, there are two stages to how the garbage disposal grindings your food. First, it will take the larger pieces of food and grind them down to the size a single grinding system would. Then, the food is taken to another grinder that chops the waste down even smaller.
This allows for food waste to slide through your garbage disposal system easily without creating a build-up of sludge.
The Size Of Insinkerator Can Fit Into Almost Any Household
The InSinkErator Evolution Septic Assist is larger than more compact garbage disposals out there. However, it can still fit into almost any plumbing system. The dimensions of this garbage disposal are 14” x 11” x 16” and weighs 22.4 lbs. This is slightly larger than the average disposal but for average or large households, this disposal will fit just fine.
We don’t recommend using the InSinkErator Evolution Septic Assist if you are pressed for space and have a small kitchen. At that point, the size would be inconvenient.
Installing A Garbage Disposal Has Never Been Easier
Installing the InSinkErator Evolution Septic Assist is super easy to do and doesn’t take that much time at all. This disposal uses a stainless-steel Quick Lock sink mount. Instead of having to install everything piece by piece, this garbage disposal simply locks everything into place.
To install this garbage disposal, you’ll want to start by removing your current disposal. From there, attach the InSinkErator disposal using its Quick Lock sink mount and then twist it into place. This whole process won’t take you more than 20 minutes. Super easy!
The Best Garbage Disposal For Septic Systems
The InSinkErator Evolution Septic Assist is by far the best garbage disposal for septic systems. Between the two-stage grinding technology and the bio-charge enzyme cartridges, you will never have to experience a sink overflow due to a build-up of food waste.
The bio-charge enzymes will break down and liquefy much of the food waste that enters your sink. Then, the powerful ¾ horsepower grinding tank will take that food and grind it into very tiny pieces. With how small the pieces will end up being, they will simply slide into disposal.
With the InSinkErator Evolution Septic Assist, you will get all the power from high-quality garbage disposal with environmentally friendly micro-organisms and without any teeth-gnashing vibrations. This garbage disposal is great for your house, for the environment, and your ears.
While this garbage disposal may be larger and pricier, the relief you’ll have with your septic system being free from overflows will be worth it.
This model is designed specifically for people whose homes have septic tanks. Like a traditional garbage disposal unit, it grinds food waste into fine particles before sending it down the main drain; however, each time it flushes food waste into the septic tank, it also injects a special septic chemical into the pipes that is designed to protect your home’s septic system.
This is just one of many reasons why this InSinkErator model is so highly rated among professionals and consumers. Read on to find out more about all that it has to offer!

My Experience With The Insinkerator Evolution Septic Assist
When I was thinking about what to write for this review, I decided that there were two specific things I really wanted to touch on with the InSinkErator Evolution Septic Assist ¾ HP Household Garbage Disposer: its noise issue and its grinding power.
When it comes to the noise issue, the simplest way of explaining it is that there isn’t one! In fact, there are a few reviews on Amazon where users have said that this model runs so quietly that they have forgotten it was even on, and I can certainly see why that would happen. But it’s a great problem to have! At the property where we have this unit installed, we have a bedroom that lines up right against the kitchen wall. People sleeping in the next room can't hear a thing while I am cleaning the kitchen, or when the Evolution Septic Assist is running. If you are in the kitchen neither party has to speak over it - the sound is like a faint hum coming from under the sink.
The whisper quiet operation is made possible because tail pipe and sink mount feature an anti-vibration design. The motor is well-insulated, and to top it all off, they’ve included a sink baffle. To me, this is just an amazing feat of engineering.
With regards to the InSinkErator Evolution Septic Assist ¾ HP Household Garbage Disposer’s ability to grind food waste, this model gets the job done, plus more. It has a two stage grinding chamber. This reduces your food waste to barely more than liquid. Not only does it reduce your chances of developing a clog in your drains, but it also makes it safer to pass the food waste into the septic system. If you’re curious (or technically minded), the liquification is accomplished by the unit’s GrindShear ring and Tri-Action lug system working in tandem with one another.
What makes this model particularly septic tank friendly is its Bio-Charge enzyme treatments. Again, one cartridge is include in your purchase of the Evolution Septic Assist, and additional ones can be purchased online.
